To achieve optimal results, many organizations are concerned about the manner in which they are organized. Having the right people in the right positions is a human capital solution integral to organizational success. Typically these reviews begin with a look at the organizational structure to gain an understanding of the mission assigned. Followed by, examining jobs to understand mission elements assigned to each person. Job titles should, of course, reflect responsibilities and are followed by a skill set analysis to determine strengths, weakness and gaps. Lastly, a compensation analysis using benchmarking and a communications analysis to determine the degree to which information is flowing to maintain optimal performance.
